More! Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a seasoned and
motivated Permanent Sr. Tax Manager with a focus on Upstream Oil
and Gas. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of tax
operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, within the
Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will be
responsible for managing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with
tax laws, and engaging in tax planning to minimize tax liabilities
and risks. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and
regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a strong background
in the upstream oil and gas sector. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee
the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns
and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax
requirements. 2. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for
all necessary federal and state taxes. 3. Manage members of the tax
team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income
tax return and state tax returns. 4. Manage and coordinate tax
audits. 5. Maintain tax balances on general ledger. 6. Prepare all
tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data
requests. 7. Engage in tax planning to minimize tax liabilities and
potential risks. 8. Keep abreast of current developments in the tax
area. 9. Provide support with various internal audits and special
tax related projects. 10. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly
tax projections. Qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA
is highly desirable. 2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive
experience in a tax role within the upstream oil and gas industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and the upstream
oil and gas sector. 4. Strong accounting, analytical, and research
skills. 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 6.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills. 7. High level of
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
8. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and
meet tight deadlines. 9. High level of integrity, accuracy,
dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality. 10. Exceptional
client service along with the ability to develop excellent client
relationships. 11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
