Job Description:
General Notes The Dell Medical School is seeking a Health Access
Partnerr (HAP-Call Center Staff) for Special Initiatives/Pilot
Staff Purpose The Health Access Partner (HAP) – Special
Initiatives/Pilot Staff is a key role within the UT Health Austin
Access Center, dedicated to advancing operational efficiency,
optimizing healthcare delivery models, and integrating innovative
technologies. This role will be responsible for supporting pilot
programs and special initiatives aimed at improving scheduling
workflows, patient experience, and care accessibility. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving skills,
and a forward-thinking mindset to drive organizational improvements
through technology and process innovation. Responsibilities
Innovation and Technology Integration Assist in the implementation
and optimization of new scheduling and access technologies.
Collaborate with IT and operational teams to pilot electronic
solutions that streamline patient access and workflow processes.
Test and evaluate emerging technologies for improved healthcare
delivery. Operational Efficiency Pilot Support Participate in the
design, execution, and assessment of workflow improvement pilots.
Provide feedback on process changes and support continuous
optimization efforts. Work closely with leadership to evaluate key
performance metrics for efficiency initiatives. Process Improvement
and Change Management Identify inefficiencies in scheduling,
registration, and patient outreach processes. Support department
leaders in implementing process changes and training teams on new
protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth
adoption of innovative practices. Multi-Channel Communication and
Patient Engagement Engage with patients via phone, email, chat, and
other electronic channels to enhance patient experience. Assist
with proactive outreach programs to improve appointment adherence
and reduce scheduling barriers. Support digital patient access
initiatives, such as self-scheduling platforms and automated
communication tools. Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring Track
and analyze data related to pilot programs and special initiatives.
Provide reports and recommendations based on findings from
operational assessments. Assist in developing key performance
indicators for evaluating initiative success. Collaboration and
Training Act as a liaison between operational teams and pilot
project stakeholders. Assist in the development and delivery of
training materials for new processes and technologies. Mentor and
support colleagues in adopting new workflows and best practices.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong problem-solving skills with the
ability to identify and implement process improvements. Knowledge
of healthcare technology, patient scheduling systems, and workflow
automation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with
the ability to articulate operational needs effectively. Ability to
manage multiple projects and adjust to shifting priorities in a
fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and experience
with data-driven decision-making. High level of adaptability to
change and willingness to explore innovative solutions. Required
Qualifications High school graduation or GED. Minimum of three
years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, scheduling,
or access center functions Relevant education and experience may be
substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience in
process improvement, workflow analysis, or technology
implementation. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
systems and scheduling platforms. Background in change management
and pilot program execution. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience in data tracking and reporting. Salary Range $43,500
depending on qualifications Working Conditions Standard office
environment. Frequent use of computers, scheduling platforms, and
electronic communication tools. Repetitive use of a keyboard.
