Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate Under general supervision, is responsible for complex secretarial or clerical duties; prepares complex reports; maintains computerized files; assists with budget preparation; maintains employee personnel records; and performs related duties as required. This position is located in Montgomery County at 3200 College Park Drive, Conroe, TX 77384 at the Lone Star College Campus. This position is funded by a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding. This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Responsibilities: Provide direct assistance in delivering departmental services to County employees and the public, ensuring efficient operations. Responds to general and complex questions and complaints regarding departments or agents. Support special projects exercising independent judgment and decision-making skills, contributing to project success. May train administrative or clerical support personnel. Maintain accurate statistics and generate intricate reports to support departmental analysis and decision-making processes. Maintain and update personnel records such as attendance and worker's compensation tasks. Manage requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions while adhering to budgetary constraints. Participates and assists in college-wide events, activities, committees and performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organization skills. Preferred Qualifications: Good knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Good knowledge of office procedures. Skill in performing basic mathematical calculations. Skill in operating a personal computer, typewriter, and basic office equipment. Ability to accurately enter data and file information. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, county employees, and the public. Special Requirements: Applicants with equivalent experience in place of a Bachelor's degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency of a Bachelor's degree plus the minimum required years of experience.
