As a growing organization, we are seeking a detail-oriented
Facility Technician to support the Facility Manager in all
activities related to the operations and maintenance of our
facility. The Facility Technician is responsible for maintenance,
repairs, and supporting the overall day-to-day operation of the
facility to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant work
environment. Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the
Facility Technician performs routine maintenance, responds to
service requests, supports vendors and contractors, and assists
with preventive maintenance programs across building systems. Key
Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and
minor repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical,
plumbing, lighting, doors, and general infrastructure Respond
promptly to facility service requests and troubleshoot issues as
they arise Conduct preventive maintenance according to established
schedules and document completed work Coordinate with and escort
external vendors and contractors as needed Maintain facility
cleanliness, organization, and safety standards Assist with space
setup, furniture moves, and basic carpentry or patch/paint work
Monitor building systems and report larger repair needs or safety
concerns to management Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work
orders, and inventory of tools and supplies Ensure compliance with
OSHA, local safety codes, and company policies Support emergency
response activities related to facility issues (power outages,
water leaks, etc.) Qualifications Required High school diploma or
equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on
facilities maintenance experience supporting commercial,
healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, manufacturing, or
industrial environments, with demonstrated responsibility for
maintaining building systems and infrastructure. Demonstrated
working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and
general building systems, including the ability to independently
perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor
repairs safely and effectively. Proven experience responding to
facility service requests and resolving maintenance issues within
established timelines, including diagnosing equipment or
infrastructure problems and implementing corrective actions.
Experience executing preventive maintenance programs, including
completing scheduled maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate
documentation, and ensuring building systems operate efficiently,
safely, and in compliance with operational standards. Demonstrated
ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and
maintenance equipment, while adhering to OSHA standards and company
safety protocols. Experience maintaining accurate maintenance logs,
work orders, and inventory records. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint,
with demonstrated ability to document maintenance activities, track
work orders, communicate professionally, and generate basic
reports. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety
standards, and facility compliance requirements, with a
demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work
environment. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of
facility-related issues and implement timely and effective
corrective actions. Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision, prioritize multiple maintenance tasks, and
consistently meet operational deadlines in a fast-paced
environment. Physical ability to perform essential job functions,
including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, climbing
ladders, and performing hands-on maintenance and repair tasks.
Preferred Technical certification, vocational training, or trade
school education in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, facilities
maintenance, or a related technical discipline. Experience working
in regulated environments, including healthcare, pharmacy,
cleanroom, laboratory, or manufacturing environments with strict
safety and compliance requirements. Experience utilizing digital
maintenance management systems, such as UpKeep, Fiix, ServiceNow,
Hippo CMMS, or similar platforms, to manage preventive maintenance
schedules, service requests, and reporting. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Sheets and Docs) for
maintenance tracking, reporting, documentation, and operational
coordination. Experience supporting vendors, contractors, and
facility improvement projects, including coordination, oversight,
and ensuring work is completed according to safety and quality
standards. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration
skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support
facility operational goals Physical Requirements Ability to sit for
extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or
via virtual meeting Ability to maintain focus in a typical office
environment with moderate noise levels Ability to perform
repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing. Benefits
