Job Description Job Description Leander based heavy civil contractor Austin Filter Systems, Inc. is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of estimator/proposal coordinator. Job Responsibilities include: Review proposal specifications and drawings, review various publications for potential new work, attend pre bid meetings, etc. Prepare complete estimate for selected projects with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoffs, select vendors and subcontractors. Prepare needed bid documents to accompany priced proposal which may include list of comparable projects, bid bond, experience record, proposed suppliers/subcontractors, and associated confirming documents. Education and Skill Requirements: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred. 5 years experience with heavy civil estimating with knowledge about utilities, earthwork, and concrete. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Bluebeam experience desirable Experience with Hard Dollar estimating software preferred. Strong estimating skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience Company Description Austin Filter Systems, Inc.
