Job Description:
Description General Summary Provides quality service by
assisting customers accurately and efficiently, and develops long
term customer relationships. Performs a broad variety of customer
service and sales activities, such as assisting walk-in customers
as well as telephone customers with problems and questions. Educate
customers about American Bank sales and service delivery options
and refer the appropriate products and services matching the
customer needs. Refer customers to the appropriate source or
channel to address their need. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Have a
good understanding of the bank products/services, offers
information on bank products and services that can benefit the
customer and enhance banking relationships. Prepares and compiles
new customer application and information to open new accounts.
Provides ongoing relationship servicing current customers to
maintain goodwill and gain additional business. Responds to
customer inquiries and requests regarding account. Promotes and
cross sells other products and services as appropriate to customer
requirements. Generates new business to assist in meeting
establishment profitability goals. Performs all regular teller
duties including accepting deposits, and cashing checks. Prepares
holds on deposits as necessary. Completes forms such as CTRs, SIRs,
and any other BSA reporting as necessary. Performs operational
duties as required, which may include: vault operations, ordering
and shipping cash, research teller differences, and completing
various reports. Performs various customer service duties:
Answering phone calls and assisting walk in customers Customer
research Processing check orders Opening/Closing accounts Assist
customer with Safe Deposit Boxes Responsible for maintaining
customer accounts including deposit accounts, CDs, HSAs, IRASs, and
other retail banking products. Takes consumer loan applications
Other duties as assigned Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND
ABILITIES Basic knowledge of products, policies , procedures,
documentation and systems. Strong mathematical, problem solving
skills Proven customer service and interpersonal skills Effective
selling, cross-selling and referral skills Ability to work
effectively as a team member Strong communication skills and active
listening skills Careful attention to detail High standard of
confidentiality standards Contribute to a positive environment
Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new technology Ability
to prioritize, handle multiple tasks Requirements High School
diploma or equivalent Two or more years of experience or equivalent
training in retail activities, including sales and cash handling.
Excellent skills and proficiency in word/excel/outlook with the
ability to learn new software applications Must be a self- starter,
dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities with strong
attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to accept and facilitate
