Status: Exempt Last Update: 06_05_2024 About the Role The Engineer
position is primarily responsible for the oversite of a specific
scope that is defined and managed through one or more Subcontractor
contracts valued from $500k to $10m. Timely decisions are made and
executed that impact the construction project’s schedule and
financial outcomes. These decisions utilize the Engineer’s
knowledge of building methods, materials, and sequencing for
systems, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire. Skills
& Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering,
Architecture, or Business and the successful completion of one or
more internship assignments, each lasting 3 or more months Or, 4 or
more years of construction project work experience with Linbeck, an
MEPF subcontractor and/or design firm, in lieu of a degree Primary
Duties Execute the Linbeck Site Specific Safety Program, including
BBS and Safety Walks Read drawings and specifications to ensure the
assigned scope is procured and constructed to meet contractual
obligations Create internal and external Potential Impacts to
properly notify the Owner, Architect, Engineer, and Subcontractor
that one or more quality concerns may exist Compose RFI’s that are
clear and concise to be added as part of the contract documentation
Manage the RFI Log to create, monitor, and close RFI’s,
distributing documentation to applicable project team members
Create clear submittal log form requirements in the Contract
Documents and utilize pull scheduling to establish priority dates
to ensure the design team and subcontractors meet the schedule
requirements Create and manage the Contract Document Log, record
set, and current set with all revised contract documents
Incorporate RFI’s into the record and current set, per Digital
Document Management standards Create clear submittal log form
requirements in the Contract Documents Utilize pull scheduling
dates in the log to prioritize submittals to ensure the design team
and subcontractors meet the schedule requirements Manage the
submittal log, including reviewing all types of submittals and shop
drawings, verifying correctness per the contract documents Create
and manage the Expediting Log to get material on time based on
accurate delivery dates, lead times, and coordination with
subcontractors Create and complete checklists and issues in
Autodesk for effective Quality Assurance / Quality Control
management with subcontractors Implement all aspects of the QA/QC
Program, including A3’s, Pre-install Meetings, and Peer Reviews
Implement Lean Operating System concepts, such as Daily Huddles,
Visual Communication, and Continuous Improvement to reduce the 8
Wastes Compile Subcontractor and Owner closeout documentation,
including Closeout Manual, Training, O&M’s, Warranties,
As-Builts, and Attic Stock Secondary Duties Execute the Linbeck
Site Specific Safety Program, including BBS and Safety Walks
Support the Proposed Change Order process for the assigned area of
scope, including defining the order of magnitude, calculating
change pricing, and drafting the Proposed Change Manage Spatial
Coordination process, including leading cross-functional meetings,
effectively communicating updates with subcontractors and all
impacted parties, and resolving issues with the design team Prepare
Site Utilization, Zoning and/or Phasing Plans for effective jobsite
planning Assist in creating GMP and Lump Sum Package estimates at
different design stages, including composing effective assumptions
and clarifications, alternates, and allowances to define the
project scope Assist in compiling an estimate, including creating
an Instruction To Bidders and associated scope packages,
subcontractor qualifications/bidding, and bid tabulation Write and
review all types of vendor contracts with effective inclusions,
exclusions, and job/general requirements Utilize master scheduling
software to develop and continuously maintain the GMP, baseline
project schedule Manage manpower and self-perform field execution
to ensure safety and schedule compliance through checklists,
look-ahead planning, meeting agendas, logs, and quantity tracking
Evaluate subcontractor pay applications by reviewing the percent
complete on labor and materials with actual field conditions,
including stored materials Process approved subcontractor pay app
with proper retainage, verifying contract amounts and changes to
ensure non-overbilling Physical Requirements Must be physically fit
enough to function safely on a project site and office setting.

considerable force (Grip) Detects attributes of objects, such as

means (Feel) Expresses or exchanges ideas through spoken word
(Speak) Perceives the nature of sound with no less than a 40db loss
@ 500 Hz, 1,000 Hz, and 2,000 Hz with or without correct (Hear) Is
subject to substantial repetitive motions of the body and or its
parts Must have good depth perception, field of vision, near acuity
Frequently exposed to weather (occasionally extreme cold, extreme
heat, wet, and/or humid, exposure to dust and fumes, and working in
highly exposed places) Additional Requirements Current driver’s
license, required. Work on-site at a main office or project
location, required May be called after hours and on weekends to
address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the
