Overview
As our Market Director of Post Acute Care at St. Luke's Health -
Bryan Manor, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between
Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you'll provide
insightful and energized leadership and management of the
day-to-day operations of St. Joseph Manor. Advances organizational
awareness and compliance with elements of mission integration.
Serves as a resource to the Executive Team and Board to provide
perspective on SJHS`s performance and the long-term care
implications of alternative business strategies. -About Us:Since

Responsibilities
St. Joseph Manor Leadership. Serves as the operating head for St.
Joseph Manor with management responsibilities for all financial and
people resource. Ensures superb quality care, continuously
improving resident satisfaction, maximum occupancy and profitable
operations. Directs, reviews and supports St. Joseph Manor
employees. Conducts regular rounds to monitor cleanliness and
appearance of facility, morale of staff and to ensure resident
needs are being addressed. Manages the building and grounds and
ensures that equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly
and/or any hazardous conditions are addressed. Ensures infection
control, isolation, fire, safety and sanitation practices are
followed. Monitors compliance with all relevant federal and state
regulations, licensure, and SJHS policies. Maintains satisfactory
levels on state and federal surveys. Maintains ongoing compliance
with organizational accreditation standards (i.e. Joint Commission,
CAP, ACS) in assigned operational and administrative areas.
Develops and implements long-term care and nursing home related
educational programs for SJHS management as appropriate. -Employee
Development. Recruits and motivates a first rate team at the Manor.
Develops individual and group competence through in-service
education and on-the-job training opportunities. Promotes system
thinking and drives accountability for operational and financial
success down into the organization. Advances employee satisfaction
and morale by listening and empowering. Develops volunteers to
augment employed staff and creates an environment that is conducive
to those willing to volunteer their time in support of the
hospital's mission. -Financial Management. Responsible for the
profitability of the facility. Prepares capital and operating
budgets for the Manor to reflect an increase in value for the
residents served and manages direct expenses utilized in assigned
areas relative to budget and resident volume. Creates awareness of
business tools and practices so that employees can buy-in and play
a role in effectively managing expenses. -Medical Staff and
Community Relations. Routinely supports and participates in
community outreach efforts, community events and local activities.
Partners with medical staff to ensure good communications, strong
and mutually beneficial relationships, and an ongoing assessment of
the clinical and business needs of both parties. Works with state
and local government agencies to assess long-term care needs and
diagnoses, and how to reach out, educate and help the community
understand how to address those needs. -Strategic Planning and
Marketing. Works with community leaders, Board and SJHS
administration to identify needs and opportunities in the local
area and how the Manor can be positioned to optimally serve both
the community and SJHS. Develops and implements a marketing
strategy that reflects service opportunities and maximizes census,
payor mix and ancillary revenues. Plays a leadership role in
carrying out the strategy and marketing plans. -Counseling with
Families. Meets with families to discuss care issues, treatment
processes and therapy options. Counsels families/caregivers on why
their loved ones are deteriorating, what to expect and how to best
deal with the change. Educates families on the different levels of
care (e.g., assisted living, nursing home, rehabilitation
hospital). -Executive Team Leadership. Provides support to senior
executives and the Board(s), serving as a sounding board on new
strategies or ideas, and providing insight on long-term and elderly
care, considerations and ramifications associated with different
approaches or alternatives. As a key member of the senior executive
team, participates in SJHS strategic planning efforts,
brainstorming and decision-making. Support SJHS initiatives on
corporate integrity, quality and Baldridge.Provides Operational
leadership for the Assisted Living facility including direct
supervision of the Assisted Living Manager.
