The Hospitals and Medical Groupserve our neighbors across Central Texas in Bryan, College Station, Navasota, Madisonville, Caldwell, Hearne, and Brenham. Our mission is to create an environment that inspires healing at every turn.Our network of care, extending from our Regional, College Station, Burleson, Grimes, and Madison hospitals, has become the Brazos Valleys trusted leader in health.The Market President is responsible for the successful operations of the community hospitals in the Brazos Valley Market . The role will encompass oversight over hospital operations, collaboration with community and physician leaders, budget management ,resource allocation and operation plan and policies. She/he will be a strategic and inspirational leader that will advance the key operational strategies and lead the hospital to meet high-quality standards in a cost-effective productive environment. She/he will develop and implement a strategic plan for the hospital to ensure the long -term fulfillment of the hospital's mission and financial goals.ResponsibilitiesServes as a Leader in Forwarding the Goals of CHI in the Community:

  • Builds relationships and partnerships with government, health-care, and both for- and not- for- profit organizations that support the delivery of health-care in the community.
  • Articulates a vision that embraces a long-term perspective of the contributions of CHI to the Greater Houston community
  • Sustains and strengthens the faith-based health ministry as a beneficial distinction.
  • Builds and implements strategic plans to ensure the long-term fulfillment of the System's mission and sufficient net return on investment to sustain the mission.
  • Provides leadership to develop and implement a managed care strategy, building on networks of payers and physicians, and providing a full continuum of high quality,cost effective and accessible health services.Serves as a Community and Organizational Role Model for the Values and Standards of CommonSpirit Health:
    • Serves as a role model and leader for positive moral and ethical behavior that is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of CommonSpirit.
    • Builds positive working relations with community health organizations and providers to access and improve community health.
    • Develops and maintains operational relationships with system corporate services departments to ensure a formal means of accountability.Talent Management:
      • Engages and leads a highly competent staff to actualize the vision of the system through the delegation of appropriate responsibility with commensurate authority.
      • Encourages the professional growth and development of the management team, including physician leaders.Governance:
        • Communicates and collaborates with board members and organization officials to ensure efficient facility functioning.
        • Maintains compliance with applicable laws, laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
        • Ensures the quality of the full continuum of health services via the smooth functioning of hospital and medical staff quality assurance mechanisms, and compliance of the medical staff with the bylaws,rules,regulations and standards of practice of the hospital and its medical staff.Fiscal Responsibility:
          • Maintains fiscal oversight over the development and management of the fiscal program through financial goals and strategies approved by the Board.
          • Monitors all financial operations to ensure the facilities utilize its resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
          • Ensures an annual audit is completed by an independent certified public accountant of the financial statements of CHIQualificationsExperience:
            • A minimum of 15 years experience as a senior leader in a health-care facility is required.
            • Successful track record of management of health services delivery in a managed care environment
            • Clinical expertize working in an allied health field with a large teaching institution will be an asset.Education:
              • A Master's degree is required- MHA, MBA, or MS in health-care administration, business administration, public health administration, or a related field. Physician candidates will be considered assuming they also possess a masters degree in one of the above stated fields and a significant track record of profit and loss responsibilities for hospital
