Job Description:
Parts Managers are responsible for inventory management -and
control for businesses that use or sell replacement parts,
including car dealerships, construction companies, and service
centers. They work with suppliers to source necessary parts. If
they work in a store where the general public can buy parts,
they're responsible for customer service, utilizing their sales
skills. In this leadership role, the Parts Manager also supervises
other employees in the parts department, including hiring and
training.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Monitor current customer base and recommend strategies to
attain more clients and ensure an optimal level of customer
satisfaction
- Determine part sales objectives and targets and determine
department needs to ensure all parts needed are in stock per build
schedule
- Develop effective parts processes for both internal and
external customers and maintain an inventory for all service
departments and coordinate with various vendors to obtain all
discounts
- Train all employees to work efficiently with all customers and
parts and ensure the effectiveness of all warehouse operations
according to objectives
- Identify and resolve all issues in the parts department and
ensure the achievement of all short-term and long-term
objectives
- Prepare appropriate forecasts, monthly, and annual sales plans
and targets and evaluate all activities for all departments
- Design various merchandising strategies and monitor inventory
of all physical parts and oversee all return processes for
parts
- Maintain all warranty claims and assist in all related
changes
- Coordinate with vendors for all shipping delays to ensure
compliance and timeliness
- Manage all purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies for
all purchase orders
- Train all parts personnel in sales and inventory procedures and
participate in all sales meetingsJob Qualifications: -
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure
- Good administrative skills
- Computer literacy in order to type up reports, results, and
details of customer interaction
- Ensure and maintain effective training standards for all
employees
- Efficiency and organizational skills
- Must maintain 100% of all factory-required training, including
being 100% compliant within the first 30 days of hire
