In this role, you will bring your in-depth experience in system
architecture, integration, security, infrastructure, and operations
to help shape the future of our commercial technology landscape.
Your hands-on background as an IT application developer or
architect, along with your proficiency in modern programming
languages, frameworks, web portals, and relational technologies,
will be key to your success!
As a liaison between Business, TIS, Systems Integrators, and
technical experts, you will play a central role in translating
complex requirements into scalable, secure, and innovative
solutions. You will also lead a team of senior architecture
professionals across multiple technology domains, providing
guidance and mentorship to drive excellence across the board.

What you will do:
- Responsible for the overall end to end architecture components
across the entire spectrum of the solution including solution,
security, network, infrastructure, data and security
components
- Oversight and governance of all vendors created architecture
and design specifications to ensure fit for purpose for
Enbridge
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architecture
resources across for solution, security, network, infrastructure,
data and security components
- Evaluate, prototype, and recommend technologies for end-to-end
design of systems. Make build vs buy decisions. Continuously
re-engineer applications to improve cost of ownership with
deployment of new technologies.
- Chairs and leads the Design Review Board and associated
activities
- Incorporates innovation and design thinking into architectural
components
- Collaborate across Enbridge and Systems Integrator architecture
resources to define, architect and design an end-to-end solution
that meets the business functional and system nonfunctional
requirements
- Define and drive Business & Technology roadmap strategy and
framework to align business objectives with technology
opportunities
- Review multi-functional business processes, identify fit gaps
and propose technical remediation in conjunction with functional
architects to ensure end to end process enablement
- Facilitate cross technical engagement across TIS to ensure
appropriate Technical SMEs are engaged as required
- Oversight of the elaboration of the architecture components to
meet systems requirements and translating them into appropriate
technical specifications for integration, application, data and
security development teams
- Analyzes and solves architecture and design problems across the
GTM Commercial Application portfolio to determine the best course
of action in conjunction with team members
- Presents architecture and design materials at cross-technical
meetings/presentations with different levels of management
- Maintains domain Application-System knowledge and stays abreast
of solution development progress; provides assistance as required
to clarify designs and keep architecture and design up to date
- Continuously evolve the applications to use new technologies to
improve user experience, system performance, security posture and
address new business requirements.
- Support all technology aspects to ensure operational
requirements are met and that all systems development lifecycle
technical needs are met (such as operations, deployments, cutovers,
testing and support)
- Lead Enbridge technical quality assurance activities
- Providing technical leadership to the business in the use of
information and data (the art of the possible)
- Mentor and train team members in LINK and associated
architecture
Who you are :
You have:
- 15+ years' experience as a Technical or Solutions Architect or
similar role along with a bachelor's or master's degree in a
related field, e.g., Computer Engineering, Engineering or
equivalent
You can:
- Work closely with other architecture subject areas across
integration, data, security, application and reporting
- Show highly developed organizational skills to prioritize tasks
and complete work within defined timeframes in a fast-paced program
environment
You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with demonstrated
skills through previous experience in the following contexts:
multi-disciplinary project meetings, technical reviews with
architects, developers and SME's, comfortable with presenting
complex technical topics to senior leadership
- Experienced in implementing Java, Python, C, C#, JavaScript,
HTML, CSS, jQuery jgGrid, JSON, Bootstrap, JMS, JDBC, Spring
Frameworks, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, Java EE, SQL, ETL SSIS, SSRS, DAX,
SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Websphere Application Server, llS, Sonic
MQ Eclipse, RAD, Azure Services
Working Conditions:
- Work performed in typical office environment with travel 8 to
10 times per year between Enbridge regions/office locations
- Stress levels can be above normal as the work is highly visible
and decisions affect all integrated processes associated with new
or changes business or operations

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20
pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing,
sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect
color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability
to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not
limited to:
Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written
instructions or other information, understand complex problems and
collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and
ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work
schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate
impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this
area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines,
complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and
basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
