Job Description:
This registered nurse position primarily supports the Float Pool
and provides care in the Transitional Care Unit (TCU), focusing on
patients transitioning from the Emergency Department to inpatient
care.
Responsibilities include performing age-specific assessments,
developing and updating interdisciplinary care plans, and
administering treatments and medications accurately.
Opportunities to float to other inpatient areas offer diverse
clinical experiences.
Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program,
active RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility, and certifications
such as CPR, ACLS, PALS, or NRP.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC) and successful
completion of orientation and competency assessments are
required.
The role emphasizes delivering compassionate, respectful, and
patient-centered care within a collaborative team environment.
