Practical Nurse who is looking to give life in an outpatient
dialysis center. We accept and welcome new graduate LVN's for this
position! Typical hours are M/W/F or T/T/S, anywhere between
4am-8pm for a total of 36-40 hours per week.Requirements:
- Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required
- Current CPR certification required
- IV certification required if required by state regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completed training program approved by the medical director and
the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating
the water treatment system
- BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state
regulation
- Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical
setting preferred
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita
within 90 days of hire required)Some details about this position:
- No Dialysis experience is required.
- Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic
other than your assigned home clinic
- Float to various facilities during and after your training
- You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings,
evenings, weekends, and holidaysLicensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs)
at DaVita Kidney Care play a critical role in supporting patients
undergoing dialysis treatment. Their responsibilities typically
include:Patient Care: LVNs monitor and care for patients before,
during, and after dialysis treatments. This includes checking vital
signs, assessing patient status, and reporting any changes to the
supervising RN or physician.Dialysis Treatment Support: They assist
with the setup and operation of dialysis machines, ensure proper
functioning, and help manage access sites (such as fistulas or
catheters).Medication Administration: Under the direction of an RN
or physician, LVNs may administer prescribed medications, including
those related to dialysis (e.g., heparin or
erythropoietin).Documentation: LVNs document patient information
accurately, including treatment data, responses to therapy, and any
complications.Patient Education: They help educate patients about
their treatments, medications, and overall kidney health,
reinforcing instructions provided by RNs or nephrologists.Team
Collaboration: LVNs work closely with registered nurses,
dietitians, social workers, and physicians to provide holistic care
and ensure continuity of care.You can make an exceptional
