Job Description:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for
using radioactive materials to help diagnose and treat diseases
within the human body. Your role will focus on preparing and
administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging devices, and
providing critical imaging results and patient care in a clinical
setting. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation
to patients using radioisotope equipment, under the direction of a
physician. Perform patient imaging procedures using sophisticated
radiation-detecting instrumentation. Adhere to safety standards and
regulatory requirements for radiation safety and
radiopharmaceutical usage. Process data and enhance digital images
using advanced computer technology. Provide images, data analysis,
and patient information to the physician for diagnostic
interpretation. Maintain and perform routine checks on radiographic
equipment, ensuring functionality and safety. Explain test
procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with
assistance during procedures. Proficiency in operating nuclear
medicine equipment. Strong understanding of radiation safety
principles and guidelines. Ability to handle radiopharmaceuticals
safely. Good communication skills for interacting with patients and
healthcare staff. Technical skills to analyze images and data.
