Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and active certifications for a rotating shift assignment. Responsibilities - Work in an acute care nuclear medicine department with 1 functional scanner and a second being installed - Performs cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans - Uses Siemens Symbia T6, MEDITECH EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS - Rotating 8-hour shifts (typically starting at 7:00 AM) with required call and weekend/holiday shifts - First to float across Bryan and College Station campuses as needed - Department-specific orientation is provided - Average of 12 imaging studies per day, including approximately 2 cardiac cases - Must perform IV starts and a variety of nuclear medicine studies - Black scrubs are required for this position - On-call coverage and floating between specified campuses are required - Radiologist is available in-house until 5 PM and provides remote reads until midnight - Candidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year; PRN work via outside firms is permitted - Holiday and weekend shifts are expected - Call outs are strongly discouraged and could result in termination Requirements - Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care setting - Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted - Active BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required - Experience with IV starts is required - Experience with MEDITECH EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred - Copy of driver's license and two references (one supervisor within the last 12 months, one peer/supervisor within the last 3 years) required for consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621573.
