Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of experience for an acute care setting assignment. Responsibilities - Position is based in an acute care environment with responsibility for Nuclear Medicine procedures - Primary unit is Nuclear Medicine and may float between two nearby campuses as needed - Common imaging and studies performed include cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans - Department uses Siemens Symbia T6 equipment - EMR is MEDITECH, with Fuji Synapse PACS and NMIS utilized for imaging and workflow - Average of 12 studies per day, including approximately two cardiac scans - Scheduling is for 8 or 10 hour day shifts, determined collaboratively with the unit, including call and every other weekend - On-call duty is required with a 30 minute response time - Candidates must be first to float between Bryan and College Station campuses - Daily duties include performing a variety of nuclear imaging studies and supporting radiology team needs - Collaborative team environment with in-house radiologist until 5 pm and remote read until midnight - Candidates may not have been employed directly by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity, in the past 12 months; exceptions for PRN through outside agencies apply - Department-specific orientation is provided at the start of assignment - Black scrubs are required - Weekend, holiday coverage, and floating between campuses are required responsibilities - Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may result in termination Requirements - Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Active BLS certification is required - ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required - Active state or compact licensure required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted - Must be able to start IVs independently - Ability to use Siemens Symbia T6, MEDITECH EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS - Copy of driver’s license is required for consideration - Must provide two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, with employment dates and rehire eligibility noted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640965.
