Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Austin, TX Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,076 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position ID: 75195729 Shift: 19:00-07:00 Description: - RN - BMT/ONC (694) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00P-7:00ANO ON CALL REQUIREDWe need TCT experience and the full (not fundamental) ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification.Just as a reminder, here is our specific chemo administration requirement : ONS link: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate | ONS Notice that it is 15.25 contact hours. There is another one offered through ONS that is only 9 contact hours but due to the high volume of chemo we administer, that fundamental certificate will not do. Also, I have attached a snip-it of our policy that explains why we have this requirement of our travelers: POLICY: Special procedures in the ordering, storage, preparation, administration, transport, and disposal of antineoplastic medications are necessary to provide adequate safety to personnel handling these agents. All personnel must adhere to the procedures outlined below. Please refer to HCA CWT division Handling Hazardous Drugs in the Healthcare Setting policy for reference to all hazardous drugs. PROCEDURE: I. Chemotherapy guidelines: A. Chemotherapy shall be prepared only by specially trained pharmacy personnel. B. Only RNs with documented competency and who have successfully completed the ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certificate course may be allowed to administer chemotherapy. C. Employees who are known to be pregnant or who are breastfeeding shall not prepare chemotherapy General CommentsUnit purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.
