Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient rehabilitation
and home healthcare, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical
Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. This position
plays a crucial role in providing hands-on therapy under the
supervision of licensed physical therapists, helping patients
recover and improve their mobility in facility-based and home-based
settings. Our PTAs are integral to our mission of providing
high-quality, compassionate care across our comprehensive network
of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies.
Work closely with physical therapists to implement specific
treatment plans designed for each patient. Assist patients with
exercises and mobility training. Document patient's progress and
communicate with family and team members. Maintain a safe and clean
working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and
regulations. Support therapeutic environment and adapt
interventions as necessary. Strong interpersonal skills Ability to
handle physical workload Detail-oriented Understanding of health
and safety guidelines Proficiency in the use of therapeutic
equipment and technology Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR
certified
