As a leading healthcare services provider, HCA Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist PRN (Per Diem) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch respiratory care to patients as needed, adhering to our high standards of treatment that are at the core of our mission to care for and improve human life. Your role will be pivotal in managing ventilatory support and respiratory therapy treatments, enhanced by the latest in medical technology across our advanced facilities. Assess and monitor patient’s respiratory care needs and adjust treatments accordingly. Administer and consult on the respiratory care plan along with healthcare teams. Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own. Respond to emergency resuscitation efforts and other urgent calls for care. Educate patients and families on lung health and conditions, ensuring the best practices in treatment protocols. Proficiency in using respiratory care devices and understanding clinical medicine. Strong communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare staff. Ability to work flexibly and respond to varying workloads based on patient need. Expertise in pulmonary rehabilitation and emergency care.
