Job Description:

Memorial Hermann, a leading health system in Texas, is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centered environment, focused on providing top-notch postoperative care. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and efficient recovery for patients following surgical procedures, upholding our commitment to high-quality care, patient satisfaction, and clinical excellence. Monitor patient vital signs and levels of consciousness during the recovery phase post-surgery. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions. Assess patients’ pain levels and provide appropriate pain management. Ensure that all documentation and patient records are accurately maintained. Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and potential complications. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Strong clinical skills with a focus on surgical recovery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team. Ability to make quick and accurate assessments of patient conditions. Proficiency in managing multiple priorities under pressure. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) certification preferred.
