Registered Nurse (RN) | Trauma Intensive Care Unit Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,613 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Contract RN - Shock Trauma ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must be able to perform and document patient assessments. Candidates must create and revise plans of care. Candidates must document outcomes and patient responses. Candidates must administer and document medications. Candidates must implement physician orders correctly. Candidates must escalate patient issues correctly and efficiently. Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No on-call is required for this role. Experience in Trauma ICU is essential. The unit consists of 10 beds. The patient ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:1. The staffing for day shifts includes 1 Charge Nurse and 5 RNs. The staffing for night shifts also includes 1 Charge Nurse and 5 RNs. The unit utilizes GE Bedside Monitors and Alaris Pumps. Familiarity with EMR Meditech is preferred. Permanent positions are available on the unit. Preferred qualifications include TNCC or CATN. Candidates with Trauma ICU or Surgical ICU experience will be considered first. The ideal candidate will work well in a team and remain calm under pressure. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
