POSITION SUMMARY As the dishwasher you will load and unload pots, pans, dishes, and silverware brought to the kitchen by the servers and server assistants while organizing them into trays for the washer. Commercial dishwashers are not always able to accommodate larger pans and pots so they may occasionally need to be washed by hand. Essential Functions Statement(s) Load, unload, wash, and organize all dishes within Messina Hof Harvest Green Take garbage and trash to dumpster area Wash work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors Assemble, maintain and break down the dish machine Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed Qualifications POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Competency Statement(s) Ability to use kitchen equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day Ability to work in hot and damp environments Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
