This position will support San Antonio or Austin and three attorneys, two Partners and one Associate, with civil litigation matters in labor employment practice. This position will follow cases through the full litigation lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in a high-profile, fast-paced, and challenging environment, where you will be a key player in supporting litigation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law litigation, with a deep understanding of court practices, litigation documents, and legal research. This role will require a combination of in-office and remote work. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of the litigation lifecycle, from initial case evaluation through discovery, trial, and appeal. Assist in the preparation and filing of motions, pleadings, and other legal documents. Conduct extensive legal research, including reviewing legal articles, treaties, legal codes, and law related to employment law. Compile and manage discovery documents, including electronically stored information. Coordinate with vendors and communicate effectively with opposing counsel. Assemble affidavits and other legal documents for submission to courts. Utilize legal software such as Westlaw, Compulaw, and Kolfax for case management and research. Support attorneys in labor and employment law matters, including employment defense. Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies and prepare for trial. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in employment law litigation. Thorough understanding of the litigation process, court practices, and legal terminology. Proficiency in legal research and writing, with experience in Westlaw, Compulaw, and Kolfax. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, vendors, and opposing counsel. Demonstrated ability to follow the full cycle of the litigation lifecycle. Experience in assembling affidavits and other litigation documents. Proven ability to work effectively in a hybrid (in-office and remote) work environment. Bachelor's degree in legal studies or related field preferred. Paralegal certification is a plus.
