Job Description:
Job Description Job Description The Shipping Associate will be
responsible for building large pallets and crates using saws, nail
guns, tape measures and all other related equipment. The Shipping
Associate will use overhead cranes and large forklifts to move
large pallets and crates. The Shipping Associate will also be
required to paint when needed. This includes the use of a
respirator and paint guns. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible
for building large pallets and crates. Requires the use of chop
saws, skill saws, nail guns, tape measure, steel banding, cord
strapping, shrink wrapping, tape guns, foam protection for coated
valves and cardboard boxes for parcel shipments. Paint valves,
products, orders as needed. Use of respirator and paint guns. Not
just spray cans and touch up. Prepares orders for shipping
including end protectors, touch up paint, tagging, palletizing, and
wrapping. Reviews and ensures all paperwork is prepared and
included with shipment Coordination of third party freight and will
call orders. Use of forklift (propane and standing electric) and
other warehouse equipment Loading and unloading of trucks
Significant overtime and weekend work required Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8 hour shifts Must
be able lift up to 40 Lbs. on occasion Basic computer skills
Experience in material handling Experience operating a forklift
Problem solving skills Ability to work as a team Strong attention
to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Education and
Qualifications High school or GED required (or equivalent) Forklift
Operator Training Course Must be able to read, write and speak
English Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Experience in the valve
industry is a plus
