Job Description:
West Fraser, a pioneer in the North American wood products
industry, is seeking a diligent and skilled Production Technician
to join our vibrant team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the
efficient operation and quality output of our diverse wood product
lines including lumber, MDF, and plywood. At West Fraser, we value

industry. Operate and maintain production equipment and machinery
efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Monitor production processes and adjust equipment as necessary to
maintain product quality standards. Perform routine inspections and
maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Record and
report production data accurately for compliance and continuous
improvement purposes. Collaborate with the production team to meet
production targets and deadlines. Participate in training sessions
to continuously upgrade skills and stay abreast of new
technological developments within the industry. Assist in the
troubleshooting of production issues and implement corrective
actions to minimize downtime. Strong mechanical aptitude and
ability to operate complex machinery. Basic understanding of
computer operation for data entry and production monitoring.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability
to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong
communication and organizational skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Production
Technician (CPT) credential is desirable. Forklift Operation
Certification is beneficial.
