Job Description- Agronomy Supervisor (1644)Position Summary:Our client in the Bryan/College Station, TX area is looking for an Agronomy Supervisor to manage the activities of their personnel engaged in seeding, germination, transplant, and growth of horticultural species in pilot and manufacturing scale production.Essential Functions:* Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities within Agronomy department* Supervise and provide leadership to the Agronomy operations* Improve existing procedures and processes to increase capacity and workflow* Coordinate with other departments for product development initiatives* Manage all activities related to seeding, transplanting, and plant monitoring* Monitor critical process parameters* Define and monitor plant growth data reporting* Develop project timelines and budgets* Ensure adequate resources are available for project deliverables and deadlines* Qualify vendors for materials and equipment per GMP supply chain requirements* Develop and manage execution of methods to evaluate materials, equipment, and growth protocols* Prepare necessary reports and record keeping documents including SOP's, master batch records, and other required quality documentation* Review all batch documentation for completeness and accuracy* Maintain a strong working relationship with all team members* Provide training and technical coaching to team membersQualifications:* HS Diploma and minimum of 12 years' experience in Agronomy, Plant Biotechnology, Horticulture or related field* Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6 years' experience in Agronomy, Plant Biotechnology, Horticulture or related field* Minimum of 3 years of supervision experience is required* Must be comfortable working in warm and humid conditionsOther Skills and Abilities:* Knowledgeable with regulatory compliance including but not limited to SOP's, master batch records, and good documentation practices* Detailed knowledge of horticultural and hydroponic practices* Collaborative team player* Ability to coordinate, facilitate and organize resources* Ability to train and develop employees to grow within the organization* Ability to work effectively under extreme pressure to meet deadlines* Well organized with ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously* Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of diverse backgrounds and an emphasis on communication: training, team building, negotiation skills, interdepartmental interactions, leadership and supervision (motivating, directing) and management (planning, budgeting, etc.)Salary: Please provide salary request
