Job Description:
Summary: - - - The CCS Supervisor has overall responsibility for
all CCS functions, and supervises all CCS Staff directly and has
ultimate responsibility for all staff and their duties. - DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - --- - - - - - Ensures that policy and
procedures stated in the CCS contract, contract manual and vendor
manual are adhered to the mission of SERCO. --- - - - - -
Responsible for overseeing the caseload of Child Care Services to
customers ensuring positive outcomes --- - - - - - Assists with
coordinating the flow of CCS client services through meeting with
Center staff. --- - - - - - Administers --- - - - - - Submits
required reports in a correct and timely manner --- - - - - - Gives
direction to CCS staff in daily operations --- - - - - - Selects,
assigns, evaluates and recommends termination of staff in
accordance with Serco Personnel Policies --- - - - - - Assists with
cross-training staff in the different functions and services
provided at the Career Center. --- - - - - - Works with the
contract manager and child development to assure CCS operations are
completed as required --- - - - - - Works cooperatively with Serco
in supervising and coordinating workload of CCS staff --- - - - - -
Works cooperatively with Serco controller in supervising and
coordinating workload of CCS accounting staff --- - - - - - Handles
customer and staff concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
--- - - - - - Participates in training projects to promote staff
development --- - - - - - Provides and ensures communication among
areas of responsibility through interpretation of CCS policies and
procedures - --- - - - - - Establishes a method of learning and
resolving complaints, originating from parents or vendors, in
accordance with guidelines set by the Texas Workforce Commission
--- - - - - - Assures accuracy in vendor and case/client files
according policy and procedure relating to quality assurance --- -
- - - - Provides effective interface with advisory boards,
neighborhood councils, special committees and other agencies and
non-profits --- - - - - - Develops and implements Staff Development
for personnel on a cycle for knowledge, skills, and job specific
responsibilities --- - - - - - Performs other duties as assigned -
- - DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND AVAILABILITY: - --- - - - - -
Working knowledge of workforce service programs, including
Workforce Programs and Child Care. - --- - - - - - Knowledge of
accounting computer applications(TWIST, MIP, etc) - - - - EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE: - --- - - - Graduation from an accredited four-year
college or university with major course work in public
administration, business management or related field, plus
experience in auditing, quality assurance or program/statistical
analysis. (18 mos. direct or related experience is equal to 1 year
of education). --- - - - Five years of experience with federally
funded social service programs applicable to unit assigned; or a
combination of relevant experience and education. --- - - -
Combination of education and experience may be substituted for a
Degree. --- - - - Working knowledge of regulations affecting the
workforce development system. --- - - - Solid quantitative,
analytical, process development, facilitation and organizational
skills required. - --- - - - Ability to handle confidential
information with diplomacy and tact - SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - --- -
- - - - Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and provide
automobile liability insurance as required by the State of Texas. -
--- - - - - - Must have access to reliable transportation in order
to make required home visits. - - - - - - Must have Physical
demands and work environment: - The physical demands and work

essential functions of the job. - --- - - - - - PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally
required to stand; walk; sit; for long periods of time. Employee
must be able to drive for extended periods of time. Employees must
occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, must be able to set
up display area. - --- - - - - - WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced,
demanding physically and mentally, will be in constant
