JOB SUMMARY: Under the directionof the Executive Director of Surgical Services the Business Operations Lead isresponsible for managing information for the surgery departments to ensureaccuracy of revenue cycle, charge recovery/capture, operating room scheduling,decision support, data analytics, and departmental/planning/facility managementfor the SVI and SVN campus?.? The Business Operations Lead is theliaison for the surgery department (Surginet) and provides the ExecutiveDirector of Surgical Services all supporting operational financial, and statisticalreports for establishing and meeting operational goals and provides Kronospayroll edits and or reports to support optimum staffing and payroll varianceanalysis.? This position functions as anintermediary between the Surgery Departments for the all billing, revenue and expensemanagement to the Finance Department and Materialsnormal"> Management Department.? The BusinessOperations Lead is responsible for the oversight of surgery materialsmanagement and supervision of clerical support staff.? ?MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:? ?Education:Bachelor?s degree inbusiness or related area required.Two years? experiencein health care facility, preferred in the OR.Previous supervisoryexperience preferred?Experience:Interpersonal and problem-solving skillsnecessary to interact with physicians and co-workers.? Communicates verbally and in writing to alllevels of personnel, including computer skills.Strong analytical skills necessary to gatherand interpret quantitative and qualitative data relevant to OR financial andoperating performance.Significant experience with Windows basedpersonal computers and business productivity packages such as spreadsheets,databases, word processing and presentation software.Additional experience with OR schedulingpackages preferred.? ?Professional/Growth and Development:Works regularly with confidential data; workswith and has access to data of major significance; requires a high degree ofintegrity and discretion.Keeps current on developments in the field ofhospital cost accounting and their application to CHI St. Vincent.Attends education programs within and outsidethe Medical Center as required to develop and enhance skills required forquality job performance.Attends department meetings and inservices asdirected.?Physical Requirements: Tasks require hand/eye coordination, abilityto see, hear, smell and speak.? Physical activitiesmay include balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, grasping, kneeling,lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, sitting, stooping, use offingers and repetitive movements.? May berequired to lift weight up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 100-100 lbs. This employeeis required to have close visual acuity to perform daily activities.? May be subjected to inside environmentalconditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to heat andchemicals).? Area of high stress due toproviding services to multiple departments, offices and physicians, each withtheir own specific needs.? ?Skills:Demonstratestrong communication skill, both oral and written; must present a positiveimage for the St. Vincent Health System and ability to present and validatedata submitted to administration.? ??Demonstrate interpersonal and organizationalskills.? Must possess strong computerskills and be skilled in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
