Job Description:
- The Incoming Inspection Technician is responsible for
inspecting all controlled material received on a purchase order in
accordance with the appropriate material specifications and/or
drawings. - This role requires maintaining neat and accurate
records in adherence to good documentation practices while
utilizing attribute and variable measuring equipment, gauges, and
mating/functional parts to perform detailed inspections. - The
technician must demonstrate the ability to detect and report
nonconformities during repetitive inspections and interpret
engineering drawings with precision. - Collaboration with
production, quality engineering, warehouse staff, and supplier
quality teams to address and resolve inspection-related challenges
is essential. - The technician may occasionally interact with
suppliers or vendors to clarify documentation, certifications, or
address quality concerns. - This position demands strong attention
to detail, manual dexterity for handling tools and small parts, and
proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook,
Teams, Word, and Excel. - The ability to work independently while
contributing positively within a team environment is critical. -
Participation in continuous improvement initiatives is a key aspect
of this role, requiring a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
