Job Description:
Touchstone Communities is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to lead our night shift team at one
of our senior living facilities in Texas. As an LVN Charge Nurse,
you will be integral in providing high-quality, personalized care
to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout
the night. This role requires a deep understanding of nursing care
principles, excellent communication skills, and the capability to
handle emergency situations effectively. You will oversee the
nursing staff and ensure adherence to all facility policies and
regulatory standards, making crucial decisions relating to patient
care and staff management. Supervise the nursing staff and oversee
patient care during night shifts. Administer medications and
treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient health
status and report significant changes to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports on staff
performance and facility operations as needed. Act as a liaison
between staff, patients, and families to ensure communication and
care standards are upheld. Provide training and support to nursing
staff to enhance professional development. Strong leadership and
organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficient in managing healthcare records and using medical
software. Capability to respond effectively to emergencies.
Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
401k Active LVN license in the state of Texas. CPR and BLS
certification preferred. Additional certification in geriatric care
or as a Nurse Supervisor is beneficial.
