Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Location: Austin, Texas (ONSITE 4 days/week) Contract Position: 18 month Contract (with strong potential for extension and career advancement) We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead and support enterprise-wide information security efforts. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and mission-critical environment where cybersecurity is a top priority. This position is ideal for candidates looking to make a meaningful impact while advancing their career. The selected candidate will contribute to large-scale security initiatives, with the potential for long-term engagement and upward mobility. Minimum Qualifications: 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including as an ISSO or equivalent role. 9 years of experience applying the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and applicable state-level security standards. 8 years of experience conducting and documenting risk assessments, including supporting documentation and reporting. Active Security certification or equivalent (e.g., CISSP, CISM). Experience working under and managing critical project timelines. Strong ability to communicate complex technical security topics to both technical teams and business stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
